The objective of the research was to determine the embryogenic balance of leaf segments of Phaleanopsis amablis L. The study was carried out at the Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory of the National University of San Martin. A completely randomized design was used with a 3 x 4 factorial arrangement, with factor a "leaf tissue region", factor b "time of darkness". The methodology was based on: first, the separation and elaboration of the mother plants. Second which is the first phase: Induction of somatic embryogenesis. Third is the second phase: Multiplication and callus development. Fourth is the quantification of Auxins and Cytokinins. The results were presented in descriptive and inferential statistics with Analysis of Variance (ANVA), Duncan multiple range test (α= 0.01). The results showed the difference between treatments, factors and interaction between factor levels. The average results obtained were: 48.82% of callogenesis, 8 pro-enbrioids, 7 embryoids and 6 regenerated plants. These results show that the longer the time of darkness (05 days, 10 days, 15 days and 20 days), the higher the callogenesis (%), pro-embryoids, embryoids and regenerated plants, generating a linear response and a very high correlation relation. However, no results were obtained for plant regeneration in the basal and apical leaf region.es_PE
