La biodiversidad en las chacras de los Kechwa Lamas - San Martín - Perú

Abstract

El presente Informe de Ingeniería titulado “La biodiversidad en las chacras de los Kechwa Lamas - San Martín – Perú” definido por los siguientes objetivos: recopilar y analizar información sobre las características de la agricultura Lamista y ccontribuir con el análisis de los resultados más relevantes en cuanto a la biodiversidad chacarera de los Quechua Lamas. La metodología consistió en un análisis de la información sobre la biodiversidad en las chacras de los Quechwa Lamas, teniendo como base las comunidades de la Cuenca del Río mayo Central como: Maceda, Santa Ana, San Antonio, Huimba Muyuna, Las Flores, Vistoso, Solo y Churuzapa. Las Conclusiones fueron: 1) La agricultura permanente, diversificada y heterogénea desarrollada por los Kechwa Lamas se encuentra asociada a la diversidad agrícola en las parcelas, siendo la productividad agrícola y la variabilidad de especies cultivadas una función inversa al tamaño de sus predios; 2) Las chacras de los kechwa lamas permite una curva permanente de cosechas, caracterizadas por su variabilidad e intermitencia, 3) El potencial genético en variedades de plátano (Musa sp.), frejoles (Phaseolus sp.) y ají ((Capsicum sp.) demuestran una enorme e impresionante variabilidad genética en la producción de alimentos, plantas medicinales, frutales y especies forestales. 4) Se evidencia la cantidad de variedades de maíz, yuca, maní, raíces y tuberosas, cítricos, papayas, frutales y caña de azúcar; 5) En general, la cantidad de variedades de plantas medicinales que cultivan los agricultores Quechwa Lamas abre una enorme posibilidad de investigación, mejoramiento genético y transformación en busca de valores agregados que beneficien a las comunidades Quechwa.
