Mejoramiento del rendimiento académico mediante el uso de la web 2.0 en las asignaturas de Algoritmos de la EAPISI-UNSM-T

Abstract

Este trabajo de investigación surge ante el problema observado en el bajo rendimiento académico encontrado en los últimos seis semestres académicos, donde menos del 40% de alumnos han aprobado la asignatura de “Algoritmos” (Anexo 1) en la Escuela Profesional de Ingeniería de Sistemas e Informática de la Facultad de Ingeniería de Sistemas e Informática (FISI) de la Universidad Nacional de San Martín – Tarapoto (UNSM-T). Frente a este problema el objetivo de la investigación ha sido determinar la influencia del uso de la web 2.0 mediante la aplicación de una evaluación de PreTest y Postest, en la asignatura de “Algoritmos” que se ha desarrollado en la EAPISI-FISI en el semestre académico 2014-II, para mejorar el rendimiento académico. La investigación realizada ha sido de carácter experimental, aplicando el diseño cuasi experimental con pretest y postest con dos grupo, un grupo experimental y un grupo de control, cada grupo estuvo constituido por 25 estudiantes matriculados en la asignatura de “Algoritmos”. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron el sílabo de la asignatura (Anexo 2), dos pruebas de pretest y dos pruebas de postest, aplicadas al grupo experimental y al grupo de control. El resultado obtenido fue aceptar la hipótesis: Si se aplica la web 2.0 como estrategia didáctica colaborativa en la asignatura de “Algoritmos” de la EAPISI-UNSM en el 2014, entonces se mejorará el rendimiento académico de sus alumnos. Concluyendo que, el uso de la web 2.0 influye significativamente en el rendimiento académico de los alumnos en la asignatura de “Algoritmos” desarrollada en el semestre académico 2014-II.

This research work arises from the low academic performance found in the last six academic semesters, where less than 40% of students have passed the subject of "Algorithms" (Annex 1) in the Professional School of Systems Engineering and Computing from the Faculty of Systems Engineering and Computer Science (FISI) of the National University of San Martín - Tarapoto (UNSM-T). Faced with this problem the objective of the research was to determine the influence of the use of web 2.0 through the application of an evaluation of Pretest and Posttest, in the subject of "Algorithms" that has been developed in EAPISI-FISI in the semester Academic year 2014-II, to improve academic performance. The research was experimental and applied and quasi experimental design with pretest and posttest with two groups, an experimental group and a control group. Each group consisted of 25 students enrolled in the "Algorithms" subject. The instruments used were the syllabus of the subject (Annex 2), two pretest tests and two posttest tests, applied to the experimental group and to the control group. The result obtained was to accept the hypothesis: If web 2.0 is applied as a collaborative didactic strategy in the "Algorithms" subject of EAPISI-UNSM in 2014, then the academic performance of its students will be improved. Concluding that, the use of web 2.0 significantly influences students' academic performance in the subject of "Algorithms" developed in the academic semester 2014-II.
